Folks who are looking for “something special” for a loved one will likely be able to find it at Christmas at the Cabin, the unique Christmas shop in a log cabin on Cave Road.
Nearly all of the gift items are hand-crafted and run the gamut from really cool sweatshirts to jewelry to fabulous wood crafts and beautiful needlework table runners to dolls and toys, plus fabulous Christmas decorations, wreaths and ornaments.
Janny Brizius, who lovingly takes care of the shop, is especially delighted that this year because many of the Magic Waters Theatre personnel have crossed over and become artisans at the Cabin: Adena Partin has made really cute cloth wreaths in a variety of themes; Madi Priskorn Reickst, who practically grew up on the Magic Waters stage, has sent a variety of wood-burned items, all charmingly beautiful and all very popular; Beth Marks Belair has sent some very popular jewelry; Kevin Kefgin has a few of his great wreaths; and Jean Lowe has made a variety of items, from jewelry to stuffed animals to her famous crocheted garland.
This is the 36th season that Christmas at the Cabin has been providing this unique shopping experience. This year it will be open through Dec. 22, Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays from 1-5 p.m., with photos with Santa being taken on Dec. 17.
