NCB recently donated $2,500 to the Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center.

The Lynchburg Lions Club held its monthly dinner meeting Sept. 10 at the Lions Club Building in Lynchburg. The dinner meetings are always accompanied by an educational program.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 the 2018-19 Music At St. Mary’s concert season begins with the return of Jim McLaughlin in his sixth annual organ recital in Hillsboro. McLaughlin was born and raised in Hillsboro. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and served as organist at Hillsboro Church of Christ during his high school years.

Hillsboro FFA member Lana Grover exhibited lambs that she raised, so her project for the fair started more than a year ago. In addition, Grover also served as the 2018 lamb and wool queen.

Since 2016, Ohio has been ranked second in the nation for most overdose deaths from opioids.

Lynchburg First Church of Christ will celebrate its 180th anniversary with homecoming services Sept. 28 and Sept. 29.
