Friday, June 4 saw four Highland County athletes take part in the 2021 OHSAA Track and Field Championships held for Division II and Division III, as McClain and Whiteoak each had two athletes competing. On Saturday, McClain senior Kerigan Pollard placed in the finals of the 300-meter hurdles.

The Whiteoak Wildcats are set to send two athletes to the OHSAA Division III State Track and Field Championships, and in doing so, they’ve broken a streak of multiple years of not having a state qualifier in either the boys or girls program.
