Longtime Whiteoak scorekeeper, scoreboard operator and announcer Bob McClain was honored with the Whiteoak Athletics Outstanding Volunteer Achievement Award Saturday night during the varsity boys basketball game against Ripley.

Whiteoak senior Bradley Ashbaugh has been having an excellent senior season, as he entered Tuesday’s game against the visiting Manchester Greyhounds needing 20 points to hit the 1,000-point career scoring mark. Ashbaugh nearly had those points in the first half, as he achieved his scoring feat in the third quarter and the Wildcats gained a Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory along the way.
