Whiteoak defends home field in win over Manchester

After both the Whiteoak Wildcats and Manchester Greyhounds were scoreless through two innings, the Whiteoak squad began their journey to gaining a Southern Hills Athletic Conference title on Tuesday night by defeating the visiting Greyhounds by an 8-1 score, taking sole possession of first place in the SHAC Division II standings.

Whiteoak baseball wins 3 recent games against Peebles, Southern and Fayetteville

In three recent games for the Whiteoak Wildcats they gained two Southern Hills Athletic Conference victories, plus a non-conference win as they defeated Peebles and Fayetteville in SHAC games, plus won against Southern in non-conference play.

There was no quit in the Whiteoak Wildcats on Thursday against their Highland County and Southern Hills Athletic Conference counterpart the Fairfield Lions. Trailing by one run and being shut out for six innings, the top of the seventh saw WHS break out for four runs and eventually gain the 4-1 victory.
