Wednesday saw the Hillsboro Lady Indians travel to Ross County for a Frontier Athletic Conference game against the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers, winning the conference matchup by a 52-36 score. 

The Ohio High School Athletic Association released the updated statewide rankings for girls and boys basketball Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) on Wednesday. 

On Monday, the Hillsboro Lady Indians hosted the Peebles Lady Indians in a non-conference game where it was the visiting team leaving with the win when the fourth frame came to a close, as PHS defeated the Lady Indians, 56-50.

Saturday night the Hillsboro Indians snapped a five-game losing streak by gaining a home nonconference win against the Paint Valley Bearcats by a 79-42 score.

The Hillsboro Indians lost a non-conference road game Wednesday night as they fell to the host Piketon Redstreaks by a 65-58 score. 

The Hillsboro Lady Indians continued to gain wins this week, as their most recent game on Wednesday (Jan. 17) saw them travel to Fayette County and earn a Frontier Athletic Conference win over the Miami Trace Lady Panthers, 56-46. 

A 20-point first quarter, added with 16 points in the second frame, was more than enough for the Hillsboro Lady Indians to fend off a motivated Fairfield Lady Lions in the second half, as HHS won by a 64-47 score Monday in their non-conference Highland County showdown. 

On Saturday (Jan. 13), the Hillsboro Lady Indians lost on the road to the host Jackson Ironladies, 55-31 in Frontier Athletic Conference action. 

Hillsboro senior Gary Reno Jr. celebrated his 100th high school wrestling win on Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Western Brown Hammer and Anvil Tournament.

Both teams left everything they had on the court Friday night in a Frontier Athletic Conference battle when the Hillsboro Indians hosted the Jackson Ironmen.

Following a 28-point first quarter by the Hillsboro Lady Indians that gave them a 10-point lead over the Washington Lady Blue Lions Wednesday night, they didn’t relinquish the lead for the remainder of the game, defeating the visiting Lady Lions, 74-46.

For three quarters, the Hillsboro Indians battled strong on the road against the Washington Blue Lions, trailing by just four points after those first three frames.
