The Hillsboro Lady Indians had a tough battle on their hands Wednesday evening in Fayette County, but the road team never lost the lead in the fourth frame, defeating the host Washington Lady Blue Lions, 57-47.

During its January meeting Thursday morning, the Ohio High School Athletic Association Board of Directors voted unanimously to expand postseason tournament divisions in track and field and cross country.

The final game of the inaugural New Year’s Hardwood Classic saw the Hillsboro Indians take the lead going into the fourth quarter, but ultimately end up with a non-conference loss to the Eastern Warriors by a 50-44 score.
