NCB has made a significant contribution to the future outdoor athletic complex at Hillsboro High School. This year’s total is a 2.5-percent decline from 2011, when hunters bagged 1,372 wild turkeys. The 2010 harvest total was 1,425. In Highland County, hunters killed 32 turkeys this year, down from 37 in 2011.

The Ohio Inspector General has issued a report of investigation which began with a complaint alleging two employees obtained jobs at the Madison Correctional Institution because of the improper influence by the institution’s business manager and an assistant to the warden. The inspector general found no evidence to support the allegation.
