Shawnee State University’s annual Celebration of Scholarship, one of the most significant academic events on campus, is celebrating its ninth year this month. Since its inception nine years ago, USEC has sponsored the event. Executive Director Eric Braun, of the SSU Development Foundation credited USEC as critical to the conference’s success.
Steven T. Butler Jr. earned his recreational pilot certificate on Feb. 7. Butler is enrolled in the aviation technology/professional pilot program at the University of Cincinnati-Clermont College.
On Feb. 25, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter showed their appreciation to the Hillsboro High School staff by hosting a teacher brunch. FFA members prepared bacon, eggs, pancakes, toast, and beverages to serve to the staff.
