The Lynchburg-Clay eighth grade girls basketball team finished first in Division I of the Southern Hills Athletic conference. The Lady Mustangs were also tournament runners-up.

Highland County commissioners Terry Britton, David Daniels and Brad Roades were joined by representatives from four of the five Highland County FFA chapters Wednesday, Feb. 25, as commissioners issued a proclamation in honor of National FFA Week.
No. 12 seeded Lynchburg-Clay had to go away from Highland County Tuesday for their Division V SE District Quarterfinal game against the No. 5 seeded Zane Trace Pioneers, and in the game at Zane Trace High School the hosts defeated the Mustangs by 10 points at 47-37, seeing the LCHS season come to an end.
