Wells, Clift earn first-team PBR All-Ohio honors; Faust, Beachy, Ary PBR All-Ohio selections

Five baseball players from Highland County were selected to Prep Baseball Report All-Ohio teams for their play during the spring of 2026, as Lynchburg-Clay sophomore Quin Wells (Division V) and Whiteoak junior Izayah Clift (Division VII) earned first-team selections. 

Lynchburg-Clay senior Elam Faust was a Division V second-team selection, while LCHS sophomore Kristian Beachy (Div. VII) and McClain senior Easton Ary (Division IV) were named honorable mention All-Ohio. 

Lynchburg-Clay sophomore Quin Wells was selected first-team Division V All-Ohio by the PBR as a two-way player. Well in ’26 had 45 hits with a .542 batting average, with a .622 on-base percentage, a 1.381 OPS, seven doubles, three triples, one home run, 41 runs, 32 RBI and 35 steals. On the mound, Wells finished with 43 innings pitched with an 8-0 record and a 0.81 ERA. Wells also had a 0.88 WHIP, allowed five runs, had 63 strikeouts and walked eight batters as he also pitched a perfect game. 

In Division VII, Whiteoak junior Izayah Clift earned first-team PBR All-Ohio honors. Clift made the list as a pitcher in a season where he pitched 65 innings with a 5-4 record and a 1.29 ERA. Clift also had a 1.00 WHIP, 12 earned runs allowed, 93 strikeouts and 17 walks.

Earning PBR All-Ohio second-team honors in Division V was LCHS senior Elam Faust, who made the team as a catcher. Faust finished the ’26 season with 31 hits, a .443 BA with a .565 OBP, a 1.122 OPS, six doubles, one triple, 36 runs, 13 RBI and 35 steals. 

Lynchburg-Clay sophomore Kristian Beachy was selected to the PBR All-Ohio honorable mention team for ’26 as a pitcher. Beachy pitched 30.1 innings with a 5-0 record and a 1.38 ERA. The sophomore also had a 0.89 WHIP, allowed eight runs, finished with 43 strikeouts and walked 14 batters. He also tossed a no-hitter this past season. 

In Division IV, an All-Ohio honorable mention selection was Easton Ary, a senior pitcher for McClain. This past season, Ary finished with 58.2 innings pitched, where he was 6-4 overall with a 1.67 ERA. He allowed 34 runs (14 earned), with 68 strikeouts and 37 walks, Ary at the plate had 22 hits, with a .265 batting average, a .351 OBP, a .688 OPS, six doubles, 14 runs, 11 RBI, nine walks, two hits by pitch and a steal.
