The Fairfield Lady Lions have continued to not only move on in the postseason, but the have jumped to the No. 2 spot in the state Division IV coaches softball polls as of Wednesday, May 25.
On Tuesday, the 2011 South Central Ohio League honored the best from the spring season, with athletes and artists from all seven schools being represented at a banquet held at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Washington C.H.

Just one day after clinching their 15th Southern Hills League title, the Fairfield Lady Lions (17-2, 12-0 SHL) shut out the 12-win Eastern Meigs Lady Eagles, 8-0 in the semifinals of the Division IV SE District tournament.
