Wilmington College will hold a service celebrating the life of junior Jenna Parlette Thursday, Sept. 5 at 11:30 a.m. in Hugh G. Heiland Theatre. The campus was shocked to learn of Parlette's death Tuesday evening at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

As part of his Ohio Unsolved Homicides Initiative, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is asking for information regarding the murder of a World War II veteran in Ross County. Harry Smith, 89, died of blunt force trauma on October 16, 2011. Investigators believe the killer or killers then set fire to Smith's home on S.R. 772 in Chillicothe.
