McClain High School’s student body recently selected this year’s homecoming court, which includes Mackenzie Anderson, Natalie Anderson, Lexie Barton, Maria Onusko, Brooklyn Rickman, Beckley Smith, Maddy Stegbauer, Mogan Buschur, Brandon Goddard and Tyler Jackson.

The barrow show took place at the Highland County Fair this year, and for the first time, showmen could exhibit gilts in the open class show as well.

Southern State Community College’s practical nursing class was honored during a special recognition ceremony held Aug. 11 on the college’s Central Campus in Hillsboro. Thirty-eight students were recognized for completion of the college’s one-year certificate program.
