On Wednesday, Oct. 26, 50 of the Hillsboro FFA members departed for the 95th National FFA Convention. Along the way they made many stops and toured some unique museums, as well as a few other unique places.
Twenty-six Hillsboro FFA members, as well as other chapters within District 9, attended the Ohio FFA Leadership Night hosted by Eastern Brown’s FFA chapter on Nov. 15.
A UC Clermont professor has received a $100,000 PhRMA Foundation Faculty Starter Grant in Drug Discovery for her work on new antibiotics capable of taking on cancer stem cells.
The Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Delegate Assembly has elected Sally S. Green as the association’s 2023 president-elect. Green serves on the Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools Board of Education in Tuscarawas County.
Mackenzie Corbin, Miranda Alexander,and middle schooler Aubrey Baldwin all went on to compete at the district contest. Corbin was fourth out of all the seniors, and Baldwin won the middle school division.
Rainsboro fourth and fifth graders recently spent a week raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through the hospital’s Math-A-Thon event.
This past week, McClain FFA joined 70,000 other FFA members in Indianapolis, Ind. for the highly anticipated National Convention. Members look forward to this trip and the gathering of FFA members for months, and McClain FFA had a jam-packed trip.
