    The time has come for the Fairfield Lions. Though their upcoming Division IV SE District Semifinal game has been switched, the Lions are prepared to take on the Eastern (Reedsville) Falcons this Monday at the Ohio University Convocation Center, in Athens, with a trip to the district finals on the line.

    These past seven days have been filled with excitement. In Highland County, we had wrestlers in the sectional tournament, a team win a co-league title, another team win their sectional championship, and just a lot of good, quality performances from the student-athletes in the area.

After a self-described sluggish first quarter, the Fairfield Lady Lions bounced back with a strong second half performance, defeating the Green Lady Bobcats, 64-33 Monday evening at Northwest High School.
