The Fairfield Lady Lion volleyball season came to an end Wednesday night at Wellston High School, as they lost in three sets to No. 2 seeded Eastern Meigs in the Division IV SE District Semifinals.
In a thrilling, five-game match, the Fairfield Lady Lions captured their first sectional volleyball championship Thursday, defeating the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats, 19-25, 25-22, 26-24, 22-25 and 15-10 in the final game.
