It was a match like most when McClain and Hillsboro get together. The place or records don’t really seem to matter, and that’s how it went down Tuesday night when the Lady Tigers needed five sets to pull out an exciting volleyball nail-biter on their home floor over their league and county rivals.

The McClain Lady Tigers varsity soccer team notched their second straight home victory and second straight shutout, this one a 5-0 victory over county and conference rival Hillsboro.

It was a game of two halves Tuesday night on the McClain athletic field, where the first half saw the Hillsboro Indians take a 2-0 advantage into the break after Ryan Howland and Judah Brandyberry scored goals.
