The Ohio Ballot Board, chaired by Secretary of State Jon Husted, has determined that the proposed amendment concerning personhood consist of one issue. Petitioners will need to collect 385,253 signatures, which is equal to 10 percent of the total vote cast for Governor in 2010.

A Hillsboro man has been arrested and charged on three counts of trafficking in drugs in the presence of a minor. John Cumberland, Jr., 68, has been placed in the Highland County Justice Center and will be arraigned Monday, Jan. 9, following the Saturday, Jan. 7 arrest.

According to a news release from the Highland County Sheriff's Office, information was received that Daniel Lee Henges, Jr., 42, of Brown County, and formerly of Florida, was in the Lynchburg area on January 6, and had an active warrant for his arrest out of the state of Florida.
