The May meeting of the New Petersburg Social Civics Club was held at Buckeye Hills Country Club with hostess Patty Detty.

The Building Bridges 4-H Club held their fourth meeting of the year at the Leesburg Fire Department on May 14.

Over 120 gardeners from six local garden clubs attended the day-long Spring Regional meeting of the Region 16 Ohio Association of Garden Clubs held in Wilmington on May 12, including eight members of the Hillsboro Garden Club. Region 16 includes garden clubs from Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Madison, Warren and Highland County.

After a highly successful and hugely popular May 12 concert that featured local band Blue Steel and main attraction the Kentucky Headhunters, Southern Ohio’s concert showplace, The Fling Barn, welcomes two more popular groups in May. At 8 p.m. Saturday, May 14, No Saints - No Saviors takes the stage at the historic Folsom barn.

Indies at the Colony, an independent film festival, will be presented May 20-21 at the Colony Theatre in Hillsboro.

The 29th summer season of live entertainment at Magic Waters Theatre, east of Hillsboro, will begin on June 10 when 'Maggie in Magic Land' takes to the stage at the rustic amphitheatre on Cave Road, midway between Hillsboro and Chillicothe , just off of U.S. 50.
