According to research by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), older adults who are inactive lose ground in four areas that are important for staying healthy and independent: endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility.
An Adena Regional Medical Center nurse has been nominated for the Ohio Hospital Association’s 2014 Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award. Robin Berno has served patients at Adena for more than 23 years, and is currently the hospital’s manager of Surgical Services.
