  • Republicans begin the next round of 'what if...'

As one political season comes to an end, another one is about to begin in earnest. Sadly, that's the way it is these days with political seasons: They last longer than a strike-free NHL season and eliminate about the same percentage of candidates as the NHL eliminates teams.
  • Some day - A return to civility?
What we lack, in my observation, is the ability to communicate face to face. We can't look one another in the eye and express our thoughts and opinions. We've lost that. Maybe we'll get it back, maybe we won't.

  • UPDATED: Twenty questions for Hillsboro City Council
If city council chooses not to have its own voice, how much longer must city residents and taxpayers continue to fund city council and what purpose does this once august body now serve?

  • A government of laws, not of men
"If the citizens of Ohio, including organizations and individuals, do not have the right to call for the just enforcement of the Ohio Constitution, then who does have that right and responsibility?"

  • The Party of Lincoln? Really?
Another day, another threat of violence. Another alleged threat against my business. It does get old, but I try to maintain my sense of humor. Maybe I'll die laughing like the Arizona Apaches who ate the poisoned pinolé in the 1860s.
