Senior Scene: From the HCSCC

The Highland County Health Department will give flu shots at the Senior Center on Monday, Sept. 28 from 3-6 p.m. Note: This vaccine is for seasonal flu only and is for those ages 3 and over. There is no shortage of vaccine this year. Cost is $20. Medicare Part B and Medicaid will pay for flu shots. No appointment is necessary; patients will be seen on a first come-first served basis.

Second half dooms Tribe; Washington wins 28-27

The Hillsboro Indians provided many fireworks in the first half during a soggy game at Richards Memorial Field, but all the sparks in the first half fizzled away in the final 24 minutes as the Washington Blue Lions raided the Tribe’s homecoming, defeating the Indians by one point, 28-27 Friday night in Hillsboro.
