Former Ohio Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown will again represent Ohioans in the U.S. Senate, after defeating Republican incumbent U.S. Sen. Jon Husted. The Associated Press projected the Brown victory at 11:11 p.m.

Democrat Dr. Amy Acton has won Ohio’s race for governor according to unofficial election results. The Associated Press called the race at 10:49 p.m.

The NCAA Division I Cabinet recently introduced a package of proposals intended to decentralize oversight of certain rules for all sports. The proposals ― which would result in changes to coaching limits, playing season start and end dates, and recruiting rules, among other areas ― could be adopted by the Cabinet as early as January.
