The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) this week awarded $11 million to 32 projects through its Investments Supporting Partnerships in Recovery Ecosystems (INSPIRE) Initiative, which aims to address workforce gaps and economic challenges due to the impact of substance use disorder (SUD) in Appalachia.

A Hillsboro man was sentenced to three years in prison Monday afternoon, after a jury seated in Highland County Common Pleas Court found him guilty of a third-degree felony charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine.

The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred on Sept. 22 at approximately 2:20 p.m. on state Route 132 northeast of state Route 133 in Vernon Township, Clinton County.
