  • Greenfield History Day Oct. 3

    The Greenfield Historical Society will hold its third annual History Day on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will be held at the society's complex of historical buildings on the east side of Greenfield, near the state Route 28 bridge.

    A special council meeting has been called to be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 5 p.m. at 130 Homestead Avenue, Justice Center, Municipal Court room.

  • Voter registration deadline Oct. 5
    The Highland County Board of Elections reminds the citizens of Highland County that the deadline for registering to vote in the General Election to be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009, will be Monday, October 5, 2009. This deadline is for those who are not presently registered.

Ted Strickland is submitting nine applications to the U.S. Department of Transportation for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) Discretionary Grant Program.
  • Trapp to run for Supreme Court
    Judge Mary Jane Trapp has announced her candidacy for Ohio Supreme Court. Trapp will be running for the seat currently held by Judge Judy Lanzinger. The announcement took place this week at the Ladies’ Gallery of the Statehouse.
