Returnees from last year’s championship team include: outfielder David Turnbull (Dartmouth College); first baseman, Ian Neilsen (Taylor University); pitcher, Ryan Robertson (Rio Grande); and pitcher, Jason “Boomer” Moultan (Ohio). The Paints will also welcome back left-handed pitcher, Clayton Schulz from North Florida. Schulz was an All-Star starter for Chillicothe in 2009, and played last summer in Florida.

The Lynchburg-Clay Local Schools are on a one-hour delay Wednesday due to high water in some areas.

A 14-year-old was arrested this week at Hillsboro Middle School following an alleged assault.
  According to a report from the Hillsboro Police Department, officers were called to the school Monday at 7:30 a.m., following an altercation.

Independent candidate John Levo filed petitions April 19 with the Highland County Board of Elections to officially enter the race for Hillsboro mayor. Levo, a former member of the Hillsboro City Council, will face the winner of the May 3 Republican Primary between Rod Daniels, Drew Hastings and Terry Mikkelsen. The city of Hillsboro has filed a motion asking the Highland County Common Pleas Court to dismiss a suit filed by Parker Hotel owner Jack Hope which sought to have the city pay him damages in the amount of $2.6 million.
 The city alleges that Hope has not followed the city's administrative appeals process and that his claim for relief against the city and Hillsboro Safety and Service Director Ralph Holt for "undue aggravation is not a cause of action recognized under Ohio law."

Perhaps it's time for the American people to learn from actual history and to demand a return to a framework that created happy days, instead of continuing to buy a fairy tale version in which wealth lavished on the very rich will somehow magically trickle down to everyone. Perhaps it's time for the majority of Americans to speak out against the disenfranchisement of the less privileged instead of nodding their heads and letting it go unchallenged.
