Though down early in the first two innings, the Tribe scored 16 runs in an eventual rout of the Clinton-Massie Falcons, defeating their South Central Ohio League counterpart, 16-6 at the pony league field at Shaffer Park.

Highland County Common Pleas Court has urged the owner of the Parker Hotel to follow procedures set forth in the city of Hillsboro's ordinance regarding "dangerous buildings."
 Hope filed suit against the city and Hillsboro Safety and Service Director Ralph Holt on April 14 seeking $2.6 million in damages, after the city sent a notice March 15 stating that Hope had 30 days to make repairs to the structures at 137 W. Main Street, or the city would seek to have them removed.

CHILLICOTHE – The Adena Health System Board of Trustees held its annual meeting Sunday, April 17, in the PACCAR Medical Education Center, which included presentations from top executives about the state of the system.
  The yearly event began on a somber note as board members honored the memory of Cathy Evanoff, a former board member who died recently. She served on the board from 1982 to 1990 and was a past board chair.

Maxine Jewel Robertson, 78, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her residence.

Rilynne Lorraine Hinzman, 14 months, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Children’s Medical Center in Cincinnati.

Lynchburg-Clay High School has announced their honor roll for the third nine weeks of 2010-11.

Seven teachers from the United States, including Robert Snavely from Hillsboro High School, and seven international teachers were chosen to participate in the conference from July 3-17.

David Binnion, a Hillsboro High School information technology teacher, has been selected to participate in the ACTIVATE Summer Program

Tracy Linder, a Hillsboro High School Spanish teacher, has been selected for the NEH Summer Scholar Program. Linder was selected to participate in the NEH Summer Scholar Program for 2011.
