Scorching temperatures in excess of 100 degrees have not diminished the concert crowds during the 2012 Festival of the Bells, according to event organizers.
Festival entertainment committee chairman Rick Williams said that while the 2007 Taylor Swift concert may long hold the record for a Friday night crowd, he thinks the James Wesley and Kip Moore lineup may be a contender for the second largest.
"It has been hot, there is no doubt about that," Williams said Saturday. "It has affected the crowds a little bit, but Friday night everyone really came in around ten to 9 p.m. We had a tremendous crowd. We might have had the second largest Friday night crowd we've ever had. It was really, really good last night."
