Area firefighters are battling this structure fire in the 400 block of Jefferson Street in Greenfield Saturday morning.

The fire may have started in a two-story house near 437 Jefferson.

Firefighters from Paint Creek Joint Fire Department responded to 437 Jefferson Street shortly after 7 a.m. on a report of a house fully engulfed in flames.

According to www.fayetteadvocate.com, mutual aid from three departments, including Wayne Township from Good Hope were requested to the scene for manpower.

Firefighters have the large house fire under control, but the fire chief said that he will not allow firefighters to enter the structure because it's too unsafe at this time.

Approximately five people were displaced as a result of the fire and are being assisted by the American Red Cross Highland County Chapter.
