The Premier Showmen 4-H Club partnered with Jerry Haag Motors to celebrate Ohio 4-H Week by creating a special window display.

The Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter attended the annual Ag is Everyone’s Business event on March 6. 

February 21-28 was National FFA Week.

Every year, the 9th grade members of the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter take the Ohio FFA Greenhand Quiz.

On March 7, four Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA members attended the Marysville Spring CDE judging contest at the Union County fairgrounds.

On February 21 nine members from the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA went to Mount Gilead to participate in the General Livestock, Poultry, and Equine judging contests.

On February 27, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter went to Perfect North tubing.

On March 7, Hillsboro Great Oaks member Adalyn Gaines competed at the State Extemporaneous Public Speaking. 

For the past three years, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter has hosted a countywide hoedown to raise money for anyone or an organization that was in need, and this year the chapter decided on the Wounded Warrior Program. 

Greenfield Elementary fifth-graders’ art will go up for auction on the school’s Facebook page this week with proceeds to benefit Shriners Children’s.

The board named current provost Ravi V. Bellamkonda as OSU’s 18th president, replacing Carter, a former Navy vice admiral and Top Gun pilot who had been president for two years but resigned Monday. 

Quaker pastor, writer and speaker Phillip Gulley will spend the day at Wilmington College on March 25, the centerpiece of which will be the Office of Campus Ministry’s Quaker Lecture, a community presentation on “Hope in Difficult Times” at 7 p.m. in the McCoy Room of Kelly Center.

The Jefferson Alumni, Blue Creek, Ohio will be awarding several scholarships on May 23, 2026.
