Burge, Mikkelsen named to Heidelberg University dean's list

Heidelberg University has announced the names of 374 students who have earned academic recognition on the fall semester dean's list.

Local students on the list include:

• Harrison Burge, a junior from Lynchburg; and

• Maddisen Mikkelsen, a sophomore from Hillsboro.
 
According to Provost Dr. Courtney DeMayo Pugno, students must be enrolled full time and meet academic criteria set forth by the university to be named to the dean's list.
 
Founded in 1850, Heidelberg offers 30 majors, 32 minors and 10 pre-professional programs, awarding the bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, and bachelor of music degrees, as well as master's degrees in counseling, business administration and athletic training. Heidelberg has been consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a top college in the Midwest. In the 2023 survey, HU climbed in the "Best Value" category and as a top performer on the Social Mobility list. Heidelberg continues to be highly ranked in the Midwest Regional Universities category.
