Five total area basketball programs will be playing in a new division during the high school basketball postseason for the 2017-18 season, as four schools from the Southern Hills Athletic Conference and one school from the newly minted Frontier Athletic Conference have switched divisions.

McClain junior Chayden Pitzer and Fairfield junior Noah Richmond each raced on Saturday at the OHSAA State Track and Field Championships, with both events being finals for their respective divisions.
