In a race that not only featured Division II and III schools, but a total of 26 teams and 283 runners, the Fairfield Lions continued to prove why they are a Top 2 ranked cross-county team in Division III by placing second overall at the 2017 Pickerington North Panther Invitational, Saturday.

Hosting the Williamsburg Wildcats in a non-conference match, the Fairfield Lions battled tough in the heat on Wednesday but were unable to gain a win as they lost by a 3-0 score.

One season ago, the Fairfield Lions won the Bob Reall Invitational Division III race in convincing fashion. On Saturday morning, the Lions upped their level of competition by two divisions, racing in the Division I race, placing third out of 21 teams.

The Ohio Valley Hoops Classic is coming once again to the Southern State Community College. Fans attending this year’s Classic will get a double treat.
