SHAC Girls Basketball Preview held at North Adams

The 2017-18 Southern Hills Athletic Conference (SHAC) Girls Basketball Preview was held Friday night at North Adams High School. All 10 conference teams played two quarters each in five games.
In the first game of the night, the Whiteoak Wildcats lost in their SHAC Preview game against the West Union Lady Dragons by a 24-8 score.

WHS scored five points in the first quarter and added three more in the second quarter. Leading the Lady Wildcats in scoring were sophomore Cylee Bratton with five points and Kara Ward with three points.
Whiteoak opens their regular season Saturday, Nov. 25 at home vs. East Clinton.
The second game of the night saw Manchester defeat Ripley, 14-10.
Lynchburg-Clay defeated Peebles in the third game of the evening by a 27-24 score. Leading the Lady Mustangs was Peyton Scott with 15 points, followed by Zoe Fittro with nine points. Also for LC, Serena Smith scored two points and Abby Blankenship had one point.
The Lady Mustangs begin their regular season Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Miami Trace.
Eastern Brown won the fourth game over Fayetteville, 35-10.
In the fifth and final game of the SHAC Preview, the Fairfield Lady Lions fell to host North Adams, 26-21 in the two-quarter game. After the first quarter, the score was tied at 14-14. Leading FHS was Grace Shope with 12 points, followed by Samara Cannon with six points. Scoring one point apiece were Lauren Arnold and Molly Thackston.
The Lady Lions open their 2017-18 season Monday, Nov. 27 at home vs. East Clinton.
