At least one Hillsboro resident has reportedly received a solicitation in the mail from the “National Police Association,” with a notice saying “Hillsboro City Council members need to hear from you.”
A Hillsboro man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole, after a jury seated in Highland County Common Pleas Court convicted him of three counts of rape in a case involving two child victims.
The Highland County Board of Elections has certified the list of candidates for the Nov. 7 general election, which will include village, township and school board races, plus 12 issues and options.
The Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center will hold its annual Walk for Life on Saturday, Sept. 16. The two-mile walk will begin and end at the Center (135 W. Walnut, Hillsboro).
The Highland County Republican Picnic is set for Sunday, Aug. 20 from 5-7 p.m. at the VFW Post 9094 Pavilion, located at 1000 West Main Street, Hillsboro.
