Leesburg-based farmer Kip Shoemaker joined Ohio Corn & Wheat (OCW) for its Emerging Leader Summit, a two-day program designed to help growers develop skills in leadership, communication and advocacy.

On Monday, March 18, the Fairfield Local Schools district posthumously awarded the high school diploma of Robert Lawson, a member of the Fairfield High School Class of 1968. His widow, Barbara Lawson of Leesburg, and their grandchildren accepted the diploma.

The Fairfield Lions didn’t stop believing in their Division IV SE District Final game against the Federal Hocking Lancers, so when the final buzzer sounded at the Ohio University Convocation Center, they were hoisting a district championship trophy for the first time in a decade.
