The McClain soccer teams went on the road Monday night (Sept. 9) where the girls soccer team gained a non-conference win, while the boys lost in non-conference action.

On the morning of July 31, the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Ross County arrested a Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputy without incident.

The No. 3 seeded Hillsboro Lady Indians had their season come to a sudden stop on Wednesday evening (May 15), as they lost in their Division II SE District Semifinal game played at Ohio University against the No. 6 seeded Circleville Lady Tigers by a 6-4 score.

The Hillsboro Indians dropped their second game of the season on Tuesday at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, with the Indians losing to the host Circleville Tigers by a 9-2 score. 

On Feb. 7, officers from the Circleville Police Department responded to a reported domestic situation. As a result of swift and decisive action by law enforcement officers, the suspect, John Graves, was apprehended at the scene and charged with serious offenses, including two counts of domestic violence, strangulation, two counts of assault, and obstruction of official business.

On Feb. 1, the Circleville Police Department Communications Center received numerous 911 calls reporting a shooting incident in the 900 block of South Pickaway Street. 

The Hillsboro Indians boys basketball team went on the road for a Wednesday night non-conference game against the Circleville Tigers, falling to the hosts from Pickaway County by eight points at 54-46. 

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) this month rededicated the A.W. Marion State Park dam to celebrate the completion of a $9.6 million rehabilitation project — an investment into the health and wellbeing of the surrounding area.

The Hillsboro Indians opened the 2023 season on Monday with a loss to the Unioto Shermans at home, and on the following night they lost at home to the Circleville Tigers, both non-conference games.
