Hillsboro loses on road to Circleville

The Hillsboro Indians dropped their second game of the season on Tuesday at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, with the Indians losing to the host Circleville Tigers by a 9-2 score.
In the non-conference game, the Indians scored both of their runs in the top of the seventh inning, with Zach Burwinkel and Walker Pence scoring the two runs. One of the two runs was batted in by Jackson Cornele.
The Indians totaled five hits in the loss, as they came off the bats of Pence, Cornele, Brayden Hunter, Zack Brown and Burwinkel. Nic Burns, Ben Miller and Ashton Clemons each forced a walk.
Peyton Aber was hit by a pitch. Aber, Burns (two), Hunter (two), Pence (three), Brown (two) and Miller each forced a walk.
Brayden Oberrecht pitched 5.1 innings, allowing six runs (none earned), plus he totaled six strikeouts.
Burwinkel pitched 0.2 innings, allowing three earned runs off three hits, and he collected one strikeout.
Circleville scored all nine of their runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The loss drops HHS to 0-2 overall.
