    Ink in my veins, Part IV

    We were all excited over the 1993 Mustangs. They were not only Lynchburg's team and Clay Township's team, but they were Highland County's team and the Southern Hills League team. Through hard work, great talent, solid coaching and overall teamwork, the 1992-93 Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs demonstrated what a small school in a small conference could accomplish in Ohio High School Athletics.

    'Free competition is worth more to society than it costs'

    If anyone ever wants to see a copy of our annual circulation audit, please stop by the office. We have nothing to be ashamed of regarding our advertising rates, our circulation or our customer service. In addition, we also publish free obituaries and free public service announcements for churches, schools, civic organizations, etc., each and every week. We will continue to do so.

    Spring cleaning brings back memories
    Through the years, I have saved a lot. Too much, in fact. There are photos of local high school student-athletes who are now approaching their 40th birthdays. There are photos from ribbon-cutting ceremonies with former Sixth District congressman Bob McEwen, Ted Strickland and Frank Cremeans.

    Council members are not part of the mayor’s administration. For those who believe themselves to be, you do a tremendous disservice to the residents and taxpayers of Hillsboro. And to criticize former Mayor Bishop, you show your lack of knowledge of her many contributions to the city over the past 30 or more years.
