The McClain Marching Band and Tigerettes will host their third annual Marching Band Festival Saturday, October 17 at McClain High School.

Southern State announces summer quarter honors lists
Southern State Community College has released its president's and dean's list for academic excellence for the summer quarter. To be eligible for the president's list, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade point average while carrying a minimum of 12 academic credit hours. Those who achieve the dean's list are also full-time students who have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.
Fairfield's Abigail Current a 2010 Commended Student
Principal Stephen Hackett of Fairfield Local High School has announced that Abigail Current has been named a Commended Student in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program.
