An Indiana man was sentenced to a year in prison recently after pleading guilty to counterfeiting charges from a 2024 case in Highland County Common Pleas Court.

In the first-ever case before the United States Alien Terrorist Removal Court (ATRC), Nazira Haji Zada, 47, an Afghan national previously residing in Fort Worth, Texas, was removed from the United States after conceding that she is an alien terrorist. As the matriarch in her family, she supported a plot to commit an ISIS-inspired mass shooting on Election Day in 2024 for which her son, Abdullah Haji Zada, and son-in-law, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, were previously arrested and convicted.

Gov. Katie Hobbs has vetoed numerous bills passed by the Arizona Legislature trying to honor Charlie Kirk’s life. Sept. 10 marked the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s death after he was assassinated in front of an audience of nearly 3,000 people at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.
