A final pretrial was held Wednesday in Highland County Common Pleas Court – the last locally scheduled proceeding that will take place prior to his second trial on charges of murder. For the second time in less than two months, the Merchants Bank in Higginsport was robbed, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office. According to the sheriff's office website, at approximately 8:40 a.m. on Dec. 28, a lone male suspect entered the bank and produced a note demanding money, and implied he had a weapon.
