On Saturday, Oct. 3, Congressman Brad Wenstrup announced his candidacy for re-election to Ohio’s Second Congressional District. At campaign events in Scioto, Brown, and Hamilton counties, supporters are joining Wenstrup as he discussed the importance of principled, conservative leadership in Washington and restoring the American Dream for Ohio workers and families.

Former sheriffs Tom Horst and Ron Ward were in attendance as was Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera. Patsy Rogers and several members of Hugh Rogers family were there, including two of his brothers. Earl Mahaffey was unable to attend but assisted with Burwinkel's research.

Ohio’s Energy Mandates Study Committee recommended today that the state’s “renewable and energy efficiency standards” should remain frozen indefinitely. The committee examines Ohio’s clean-energy standards which were enacted in 2008.
