Fayette County Sheriff's Office, Press Release

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that they have arrested and charged a Fayette County woman in connection with an alleged Oct. 20 armed robbery at a business in Washington Court House.

FCSO Detectives have charged Crystal L. Myers, 26, of Washington Court House with aggravating robbery and theft (felony) stemming from her alleged involvement in the incident.

Detectives executed a search warrant at Myers’ home on Hickory Lane following investigative leads obtained during their investigation on Wednesday. Additional search warrants were subsequently executed as the investigation continued.

Also arrested was Isaac J. Weigel, 29, a household member of Myers, who was charged with obstructing official business during the investigation.

Evidence recovered by detectives during the execution of search warrants appears to be linked to merchandise allegedly taken during the Oct. 20 incident.

An additional arrest was made Friday morning in connection with the incident.

Marie A. Simmons, 20, of Washington Court House was arrested and charged with complicity to aggravated robbery and complicity to theft (felony).

Simmons was the on-duty clerk at the business the evening of the reported robbery and also reported the alleged robbery to law enforcement.

Through investigative leads, FCSO detectives learned of Simmons’ alleged involvement in the incident and further identified Simmons as the sister and household member to Crystal Myers, the suspect currently incarcerated in lieu of a $2 million bond for her alleged role in the armed robbery.

All three suspects are currently incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail.

Detectives are continuing this investigation with assistance from the Fayette County Prosecutor’s Office. Additional charges are likely as the investigation continues.
