The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their 2024 All-Conference teams Friday morning, and the Wilmington Quakers were represented with one player on all three teams.
Junior Alex Wilson was named to the First Team for the second time in her Quakers career, junior Jordan Snyder earned her first honor on the Second Team and freshman Lindsey Bauer was named to the Third Team for the Quakers.
Wilson (Lebanon HS/Lebanon, Ohio) earned First Team honors after being named to the Third Team in 2023. She was First Team All-Conference in 2022. Wilson was seventh in the OAC with 21 points, tied for seventh with eight goals, and tied for eighth with five assists. She led the conference with 91 shots and 47 shots on goal.
Wilson’s best game of the season was a two-goal performance at Oberlin College. However, Wilson was always getting several shots off and had six or more in eight games this season.
Snyder (Mission Vista HS/Fallbrook, Calif.) was the second leading scorer this season for the Quakers with seven goals. She was third on the team with 17 points and added three assists.
Snyder was the Quakers’ penalty kick taker, as she was 2-for-2 on the season in those clutch situations. Her best game came in conference play against the University of Mount Union, where she scored two goals in a win over the Purple Raiders in Williams Stadium.
Bauer (Taylor HS/Cleves, Ohio) was an anchor on the Quakers’ back line and played nearly every minute of every game. During conference and postseason play, she never came out of a game once, which is an impressive task for a freshman.
The Quakers were sixth in the conference in both goals allowed with 24 and goals allowed average at 1.26 per game.
The Quakers women’s soccer team continues to improve every season, as they look for their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2003.
