Lady Tigers host golf tri-match; Bolender recognized on senior night

The McClain Lady Tigers girls golf team honored their lone senior, Jacolyn Bolender, as they hosted a match with Zane Trace and Piketon at Buckeye Hills on Thursday, Aug. 31.

Bolender has been a member of the Lady Tigers golf team all four years of her high school career.

For the match, Piketon won the team portion, and Mary Helber (Zane Trace) was the individual medalist, scoring a 43.

The Lady Tigers finished with a team score of 236. They were led by Abbie Lovett with a 55, followed by Kaylin Sterling shooting a 56.

Bolender scored a 62, and Kallie Posey and Reese Roble each finished with a score of 63. Kate Barrett rounded out the Lady Tigers’ scoring with a 64.

Piketon shot a 193 as a team, with individual scoring including: Brynna Spencer 46, Laila Kelley 46, Renee Hill 49, Maggie Armstrong 52, Riley Wagner 52 and Emma Cutler 60.

Zane Trace had a 221 team score, with individual results including: Mary Helber 43, Carly Picklesimer 55, Hope Proehl 59, Fiona Gillow 64 and McKenzie McQuirt 69.
