CHS, WHS, McClain battle for SCOL lead
Snow blanketed the area Jan. 10, 1984, forcing cancellation of both the Hillsboro game at Wilmington and the McClain game at Madison-Plains. Miami Trace at WCH and Circleville at Teays Valley were played because both were very short trips.
Township EMS cancellation could lead to deficit, layoffs WATCH ARCHIVE FOOTAGE
Leaders in seven area townships say they were surprised to receive notice from the city of Hillsboro that their EMS services will be canceled as of June 30, despite having a signed contract that stated the city would provide the services to the end of 2011. Members of the Hillsboro City Council were also surprised of the notice given to the townships, and say they had no prior knowledge of the action.

Safety and Service Director Ralph Holt said this week the city is still open to negotiations with the townships – in spite of the notice to cancel services. While that is an apparent contradiction, it’s also a reflection on the difficult economic climate that affects all of us.
