Hazardous weather advisory in effect

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory today for all of southern Ohio, as a storm system moves through the Midwest. Today's forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms, and some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall and strong winds.

Spring wild turkey hunting opens in all 88 Ohio counties on Monday, April 18, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Wildlife.  The season continues through Sunday, May 15.

Yost joins governor for the signing of Senate Bill 4
Senate Bill 4, sponsored by Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) and passed unanimously by both the Ohio House and Senate, requires performance audits of state agencies and creates the Leverage for Efficiency, Accountability and Performance Fund (L.E.A.P. Fund); a $1.5 million fund to advance costs of a performance audit to state agencies and local governments that might otherwise not be able to afford to have one conducted.
HDH collects food for Samaritan Outreach, Our Daily Bread
More than 550 food items were collected during the month of March, in honor of National Nutrition Month. The Highland District Hospital department  that donated the most food items was Patient Registration with 233 food items.
