A Greenfield woman has died from a single gunshot wound sustained Wednesday at her residence.

The Freedom Fellowship Church on Pea Ridge Road installed a new church steeple this week.

A letter requesting Hillsboro City Council to rescind legislation approved last year which permits fire inspection fees is being circulated by a number of Hillsboro business owners.

On Jan. 13, 2010, Desiree Green of Springer Road in Hillsboro, driving a 2001 Mitsubishi, was attempting to back from a parking space in the Southern State parking lot and struck a 2001 ISU that was backing and was being driven by Kitsy Lee of U2 62 in Hillsboro.

The Tom Brokaw U.S. Route 50 final documentary will air at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18 on the USA Network. Earlier this year, the film crews visited Highland County and taped a story of Dan and April Looper and their struggles raising four children in the wake of the DHL departure and the ongoing recession.
