Bradley D. Penwell has joined the United States Army under the Delayed Entry Program.  The program gives young men and women the opportunity to delay entering active duty for up to one year.

While we are waiting for spring to pass, the Appalachian Artisans Guild has brought in a small display of items to promote their upcoming show, Cabin Fever Arts Festival. They have some handcrafts, folk art, pictures, and more on display. Come to the Hillsboro library to look over their work and get more infomation about their festival. The Guild's work will only be displayed during the month of February.

The award distribution amount, which ranges from $10,000-$14,000, is based on the cumulative high school grade point average and ACT/SAT composite score. It is awarded upon acceptance to Wilmington College, regardless of need.
